Executive Chairman
Mr Blood was general manager then subsequently managing director of Value Engineering Australia for many years. After the sale of Value Engineering, Mr Blood was Executive Chairman of the Bulgarian-Australian Manganese Company and Executive Chairman of Schefferville Iron & Minerals Inc. in Canada. Mr Blood then founded and became Chairman of Australian Power & Energy Limited (APEL), now Monash Energy Limited, and a subsidiary of Anglo American Group plc. APEL was purpose formed in 1998 to develop the Victorian Power & Liquids Project, the A$5 billion coal to gas to liquids and power project. Following the takeover by Anglo in 2004 Mr Blood formed Australian Energy Company Limited and Latrobe Fertilisers Limited to initiate the company’s current undertaking, an Ammonia/Urea project based on coal gasification with low to zero emission initiatives. Prior to this, Mr Blood gained project development experience in Australia and internationally.
