Allan Blood

Executive Chairman

Mr Blood was general manager then subsequently managing director of Value Engineering Australia for many years. After the sale of Value Engineering, Mr Blood was Executive Chairman of the Bulgarian-Australian Manganese Company and Executive Chairman of Schefferville Iron & Minerals Inc. in Canada.  Mr Blood then founded and became Chairman of Australian Power & Energy Limited (APEL), now Monash Energy Limited, and a subsidiary of Anglo American Group plc. APEL was purpose formed in 1998 to develop the Victorian Power & Liquids Project, the A$5 billion coal to gas to liquids and power project. Following the takeover by Anglo in 2004 Mr Blood formed Australian Energy Company Limited and Latrobe Fertilisers Limited to initiate the company’s current undertaking, an Ammonia/Urea project based on coal gasification with low to zero emission initiatives.  Prior to this, Mr Blood gained project development experience in Australia and internationally.

Mr Edwards is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive financial and commercial experience gained in a range of senior corporate positions.  Mr Edwards was a founding Director and CFO of Australian Power & Energy Limited (now Monash Energy Limited), subsequently acquired by Anglo American plc.  He served as Commercial Director and CFO for Sanwa Property Group Pty Ltd responsible for residential broad acre development and resort operations in Perth.  Prior to that, he immigrated to Australia to take up the position of CFO of Burswood Resort Casino. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa he joined the banking industry with responsibilities in M & A / Corporate Finance and then in the services industry specialising in treasury management.

Dr Michael Dalling is a biologist with a strong interest in agroscience and economics. Previous roles include Group General Manager of listed agricultural chemical group Nufarm Ltd, and Managing Director of the Strategic Industry Research Foundation, a joint initiative of the Victorian Government and the CSIRO.

Mr Darbyshire founded the software business PacSoft in 1985 to develop accounting and inventory management software for independent hard-goods and timber merchants, throughout Australasia and North America.  In 1989, he won an Australian Design Award for software excellence. In 1993, he took over Retsysco USA and renamed it Pacsoft USA. He then sold the business in 2000 to a listed technology company and four years later re-acquired it in a privatised transaction. Today Pacsoft is highly successful and has over 1,500 clients throughout the world. Mr Darbyshire is also a Director and major shareholder of MCM Entertainment Limited (ASX:MEG) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
